According to statistics from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the seasonally-adjusted exports of the resources and energy sector reached a record A$414 billion in the fiscal year 2021-22, up by 38% compared to the same previous year.

The revenue generated by the resource sector accounted for 69% of Australia's total export earnings, which also push Australia to reach a record trade surplus of A$136 billion.

Among them, the exports of aluminum, alumina, and bauxite reached a new high, with an export value of A$14.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20%.

The Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) said the performance has proved the importance of Australia's mining industry to the nation.
