China’s flat-rolled steel exports increase in Jul

According to data from China’s Customs, in July, China’s flat-rolled steel exports were about 4.34 million tons, increasing by 6.4% year on year. In the first seven months, the flat-rolled steel exports totaled 26.7 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.8%.

In July, China exported coal and lignite with 230,000 tons, growing by 171.6% compared to the same month of last year. In the first seven months, China’s coal and lignite exports amounted to 2.3 million tons, hiking by 72.3% year on year.

China’s imports of coal and lignite were 23.52 million tons in July, dropping by 21.8% year on year. From January to July, China’s coal and lignite imports were around 138.5 million tons, dropping by 18.2% year on year.
