Among them, the shipment from Port Hedland, one of the major iron ore exporting ports in Western Australia, rose by 9.2% month on month and by 4.4% year on year to 47.8 million tons, which contributed to the growth in total exports in Australia.

In the first eight months of this year, Australia exported a total of nearly 590 million tons of iron ore, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%.
