Azeraluminium to cooperate with German Achenbach Buschhütten for building new rolling aluminum plant

Azeraluminium LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation OJSC, signed an agreement with German company Achenbach Buschhütten in Ganja, for a joint establishment of an aluminum manufacturing plant, with an annual production capacity of 105,000 tons.

As a part of the agreement, the plant will manufacture the rolling aluminum products.

The project was scheduled to be implemented in two phases. The investment for the first-phase project was US$132 million, and the total investment will be US$451.2 million.

The plant will not only create more than 800 new jobs but also make exports of its aluminum products more competitive in Europe and the US markets.
