This new steelmaking project was implemented in two steps, of which one step was to equip one high-quality special steel production line and two 400 series stainless steel production lines. The planned production of special steel molten steel will be around 1.44 million tons per year, and the annual output of 400 series stainless steel molten steel will be roughly 1.35 million tons.
After the No. 1 argon oxygen decarburization (AOD) furnace was put into production on August 20, the No. 2 AOD furnace at the new steelmaking (step one) project of Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel undertaken by China MCC17 Group also successfully completes trial operations.
