Despite the fluctuated domestic market condition in Taiwan, due to the short-term support on export sales and the stronger raw materials prices, the possibility for these upstream steel mills to raise their September prices was quite high.
Taiwan’s upstream stainless steel mills will announce their new prices for September. After the LME nickel price returned to the US$19,000/ton level, coupled with the tight supply of raw materials and the rising quotations from Indonesia Tsingshan, it was expected the new stainless steel prices will be hiked for next month.
