Brazilian scrap exports soar in Jan-Apr

According to statistics, Brazil exported approximately 264,000 tons of scrap from January to April, soaring by 120.7% from the same period a year ago.

In April, Brazil exported about 53,200 tons of scrap, hiking by 15.8% year on year while falling by 27% from the previous month.

Besides, Brazil imported roughly 4,000 tons of scrap in the first four months of this year, plummeting by 991.6% from around 45,500 tons in the same period last year.

The scrap import volume in April was around 800 tons, sliding by 54.6% year on year and down by 21.7% month on month.
