Peru's Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) announced the target plan for the recovery of mining companies and will gradually resume mining and civil construction activities in May.

Previously affected by the epidemic, Shougang Hierro Peru, Peru's main iron ore producer, ceased its activities, and Siderperu, controlled by a Brazilian company Gerdau, also stopped Peru's steel production.

After the strict blockade in the previous months, Minem announced on May 9th that only the mining company with a daily output of 5,000 tons can resume its activities.
