Brazil's alumina exports grow in 2021

According to statistics from Brazil’s Ministry of the Economy, the country’s alumina exports totaled 9.16 million tons in 2021, hiking by 11.08% compared to the previous year.

In December 2021, Brazil totally exported 1.02 million tons of alumina, a year-on-year increase of nearly 22%, despite a decline in shipments in the State of Maranhão.

During the given period, the shipment from the Port of Belem was roughly 665,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 59.1%.
