Brazil’s alumina exports rise in Aug

According to statistics, Brazil’s alumina exports totaled roughly 908,000 tons in August this year, rising by 62.24% compared to the same month a year ago.

Among them, the exports through the port of Belém increased by 25.6% year on year to around 516,800 tons, and those through the port of São Luís surged by 170.4% year on year to around 388,200 tons.

During the period, the value generated by these alumina exports reached US$350.6 million, a year-on-year jump of nearly 120%.

In August, Brazil's bauxite exports totaled approximately 369,300 tons, down by 16.72% from the year-ago period.
