According to statistics, Brazil’s alumina exports totaled roughly 678,400 tons in March this year, sliding by 22.7% compared to the same month a year ago. In the first quarter, Brazil exports a total of approximately 2 million tons of alumina, dropping from the same period a year earlier.

The decrease in exports was mainly due to lower shipment at the port of Belém, in Pará state.

In February, Brazil’s alumina exports had a year-on-year decline of 2.34%, reaching roughly 723,900 tons, mainly due to dropped shipment at Hydro’s Alunorte alumina refinery.
