Brazil's Central Bank cuts interest rate by 50 basis points

The Central Bank of Brazil cut interest rate by 50 basis points to 12.75%., which was the second consecutive time to decrease the rate. The bank said that it would keep the same pace of monetary easing at least through year's end.

Brazil's current annual inflation was 4.61%. According to the bank's monetary policy committee, in 2023, Brazil's average inflation was expected to be 5% and 3.5% in 2024.
