Brazil's crude steel output increases in Jan

According to the Brazilian Steel Association (IABr), Brazil's crude steel production in January totaled around 3 million tons, which increased by 10.8% year on year. The country's domestic steel sales volume was up by nearly 25% year on year, reaching roughly 2 million tons.

During the same period, Brazil’s steel exports amounted to about 530,000 tons, decreasing by 52% year on year.

Besides, Brazil imported roughly 324,000 tons of steel in January, which hiked by 42.3% year on year.
