Brazil's crude steel production increases in June

Brazil’s crude steel production totaled 3.1 million tons in June, which increased by 45.2% compared to the same month a year ago.

During the period, the domestic steel sales hiked by 32.8% year on year to 2.1 million tons, and the apparent steel consumption grew by 41.1% year on year to 2.5 million tons.

In the first half of this year, Brazil's crude steel production amounted to 18.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 24%. The domestic steel sales climbed by nearly 44% year on year to 1.21 million tons, and the apparent steel consumption was up by nearly 49% year on year to 14 million tons.
