Brazil’s iron ore exports drop in Feb

According to statistics from the Brazil Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), Brazil’s iron ore exports totaled 23.4 million tons in February this year, falling by nearly 5% compared to the previous month but rising by 25.5% from the year-ago level. This figure hit the lowest monthly exports since 18.7 million tons in February last year.

In the first two months of this year, Brazil’s iron ore exports amounted to 48.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. Among them, the shipment to China accounted for the largest proportion at 57% of the total.
