Brazil's pig iron exports hike by 14% in 2022

According to the report, Brazil exported approximately 3.71 million tons of pig iron in 2022, hiking by 14% from the previous year. The United States was the largest buyer, accounting for 65%, followed by the Netherlands with 10%, and Turkey with 6%.

In December of 2022, Brazil exported a total of about 305,000 tons of pig iron, dropping by 39% from the same month of 2022. The main destination was the US with around 220,000 tons, followed by the UAE with 33,600 tons, and Mexico with 30,300 tons.
