Brazil's sales & purchases of flat steel fall in June, but could increase in July

According to data from Brazil's National Institute of Steel Distributors (INDA), the domestic sales of flat steel in June were around 303,000 tons, a drop of 2.9% compared to the previous month, but there was an increase of 1% compared to the same month of last year.

Flat steel purchases in June fell by 13.9% to 316,000 tons from May. Compared to June last year, the purchases dropped by 9.1% to 347,000 tons.

Compared with June, INDA expected both flat steel sales and purchases in July to increase by 3% and 1.5%, respectively.
