According to statistics, Brazil’s steel plate exports totaled around 23,000 tons in June, surging by 820% compared to the previous month. The significant increase was mainly due to the recovered exports to Argentina.

In June, Brazil’s steel plate exports to South American countries accounted for the largest proportion, totaling 17,700 tons, and exports to the US were 5,500 tons. Gerdau was the biggest supplier during the period, with a supply of 13,300 tons.

At the same time, Brazil’s steel plate imports amounted to 1,300 tons, a month-on-month drop of 53.6%. European countries were the main source of imports, with 800 tons.
