POSCO aims to raise steel production capacity to 52 million tons by 2030

South Korean steelmaker POSCO planned to raise its annual steel production capacity to 52 million tons by 2030. The company also aims to realize an annual sales revenue of 100 trillion won by 2030, with the operating profit tripling compared with 2022.

In addition, POSCO values the development of high-value-added and environmentally friendly products. POSCO Gwangyang steel plant will start the construction of electric arc furnace (EAF) in 2026, in order to meet the company’s goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 2030 and offering 10 million tons of low-carbon products.
