Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. (Usiminas), one of the major steel manufacturers in Brazil, has delayed the renovation plan of the Blast Furnace No.3 at its Ipatinga mill for ten months until mid-2023, in view of the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and the current stable operation of the equipment.

According to Usiminas, the plan was expected to be completed by 2023. The adjusted investment amount will not impact its planned investments for this year.
