Chile’s annual copper production to reach 7 million tons by 2030

According to the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco), Chile, the largest copper producer in the world, produced 481,800 tons of copper in November 2021, hiking by 2.4% compared to the previous month while slightly dropping by 0.7% from the same month a year ago.
In the first 11 months of 2021, Chile’s copper production had a year-on-year reduction of 2% to approximately 5.13 million tons.
Juan Carlos Jobet, Chilean Minister of Energy and Mines, estimated that Chile will be able to have an annual production of copper of 7 million tons by 2030.
