Jorge Cantallopts, director of policy and research at Corporación Nacional del Cobre (Codelco) and chairman of the Standing Committee of the International Copper Study Group (ICSG), predicted that Chile's copper production will increase by around 5.6 million, 5.7 million or 5.8 million tons in the future.

If all projects can be implemented in Chile, the country’s copper production will exceed 7 million tons by 2025 or 2026.

Moreover, the production can reach 8.5 million tons if all potential projects are implemented, while it is difficult to achieve.
