China Drives Asian Crude Steel Output Surge in November

China led crude steel output surge by the Asian region during the month of November this year, says the latest crude steel production statistics published by the World Steel Association (worldsteel).

The regional monthly production totalled 116.407 million tonnes (Mt) in November 2020. This compares with the production of 107.526 Mt in November last year. The Asian output recorded year-on-year surge by 8.3%. Also, the region accounted for nearly 74% of the global crude steel production during the month.
