The US recently considered increasing China's metal products tariffs because of the country's unfair trade measures. According to the report, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) responded that the US' accusations had no factual basis. In fact, the relevant restrictive measures are typical unilateralism and protectionism. China firmly opposes that.

China believes the US ignores international economic and trade orders and rules, politicizes economic and trade issues, abuses the 301 tariff review process, and publicly demands random adjustments to tariffs on Chinese products.
