The workshop for the aluminium alloy strip 2# production line for automobiles at Chinalco Ruimin has been completed. The goal is to commence production by the end of August. This includes installing the steel structure and heating area of the gas-electric furnace and 80 per cent completion of the installation of auxiliary equipment.

Additionally, the cable bridge operation has been finished. The following steps involve the full rollout of electrical cabinet installation and cable laying. Chinalco Ruimin New Energy Automobile has also initiated constructing a special air cushion continuous heat treatment line project for aluminium alloy materials at its Lanyuan Factory.

The 1# automobile plate production line began operations in 2020 and is currently in full swing. The company has expanded the 2# automobile panel production line to further increase the production capacity of automobile panels. This expansion is built upon the original annual production capacity of 80,000 tonnes. The project site is on the north side of the automobile panel workshop within Chinalco's Ruimin Lanyuan factory area.

By incorporating a continuous heat treatment line, the company has arranged the "2+1" production line layout, running side by side. This endeavour comes with a total investment of RMB 340 million and is expected to contribute an additional 80,000 tonnes of aluminium alloy strips annually for new energy vehicles.
