China’s A00 aluminium ingot price hikes by RMB160/t W-o-W; Alumina price slumps to RMB3906/t

On Tuesday, June 4, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price gained RMB 100 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,190 per tonne. The domestic aluminium ingot price witnessed a growth of RMB 160 per tonne W-o-W from RMB 12,030 per tonne recorded on May 28. As per the SMM data, a Y-o-Y surge of RMB 2,780 was witnessed from RMB 18,410 per tonne recorded on RMB 18,410 per tonne.

Region-wise price change

Region-wise, the A00 aluminium ingot prices have shown a consistent growth trend across all provinces. In regions like Gongyi, Foshan and Tianjin, the prices have uniformly hiked by RMB 120 per tonne, settling at RMB 21,120 per tonne, RMB 21,090 per tonne and RMB 21,200 per tonne respectively. Similarly, in regions like Wuxi and Chongqing, the prices have moved up by RMB 110 per tonne, standing at RMB 21,200 per tonne and RMB 21,140 per tonne.

Other prices

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has expanded by RMB 114 per tonne to a halt at RMB 22,060 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) prices have grown by RMB 100 per tonne to clock at RMB 28,600 per tonne and RMB 29,600 per tonne. The average alumina spot price has dropped by RMB 2 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,906 per tonne, followed by a slump of RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 3,890 per tonne.  

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has grown by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 21,700 per tonne, with the average price standing between RMB 21,500 per tonne and RMB 21,900 per tonne. For aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380), the prices have shown no growth at RMB 20,550 per tonne and RMB 21,550 per tonne.
