China’s alumina imports decrease 25% in first 5 months

According to the official statistic from Chinese customs, the total imports of alumina from China in the first five months of this year was around 114 million tons, decreased by 25% year on year.
Moreover, the total exports of alumina from China in the same period showed 36,400 tons, which decreased by nearly 50% year on year.
Among them, the total imports of alumina in China in May was around 145,200 tons, decreased by over 45% year on year, and the exports showed 4700 tons, increased by nearly 80% year on year.
