China’s aluminum foil exports hit new high in 2021

According to statistics from China Customs, China’s aluminum foil exports amounted to 1.335 million tons in 2021, growing by 7.73% compared to the previous year. This figure hit a new high, surpassing the peak at 1.295 million tons in 2019.

The export value in 2021 reached US$5.142 billion, a year-on-year increase of 34.2%, which was also a historical high. The previous highest export value was US$4.304 billion in 2018.

In 2021, the export value of aluminum foil accounted for 14.8% of the total export value of aluminum products in China.
