According to statistics, China produced around 37 million tons of aluminum in 2020, which rose by nearly 5% compared to the previous year and also hit a record high. The result was due to higher production output by smelters on surging prices and a new high record reached in December’s production.

According to data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), China’s primary aluminum output totaled around 3.3 million tons in December 2020, rising by 2.8% compared to the previous month.
