China’s coal production grows in Jan-Feb y-o-y, expected to rise further

According to statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, the country produced a total of 690 million tons of coal in the first two months of this year, growing by 10.3% compared to the same period a year ago.

During the period, China’s coal imports amounted to around 35.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14%.

Under the improving policies to stabilize output and supply, it was expected that the production of coal will remain at a high level and grow gradually, securing the stability of coal prices.
