According to data from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), China's major steel mills had a slight decrease in daily crude steel production during late June, while their finished steel inventories grew.

From June 21-30, the average daily crude steel output from its large and medium-sized member enterprises reached around 2.13 million tons, down by 0.9% from the output in mid-June (June 11-20), which itself was down by 0.5% from early June (June 1-10).

Meanwhile, finished steel inventories at these enterprises rose. As of June 30, stock levels totaled 15.45 million tons, a 4.7% increase from June 20.
