China's daily average primary aluminum production in October dropped to the lowest level in more than a year because smelters continued to be restricted by power shortages.

However, China’s primary aluminum production had a month-on-month increase of 1.8% in October, totaling 3.13 million tons, ending the five-month continuous decline, while the figure was 1.8% lower than that in the same month last year.

Nevertheless, in the first ten months of this year, China’s primary aluminum production reached 32.37 million tons, up by 6.5% year on year, which was still expected to hit an annual high.
