According to Shanghai Metal Market Survey, China's aluminum output in February 2024 (29 calendar days) was 3.333 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.81% and a month-on-month decrease of 6.43% .

Despite the decline in monthly production, average daily production remained stable at 114,900 tons, although the number of days decreased compared with the previous month. The monthly output decline may be due to the Lunar New Year holiday from February 10 to 15, which caused some downstream aluminum processing plants to close or reduce production.

The proportion of liquid aluminum production decreased by 6.1% month-on-month, but increased by 1.6% year-on-year, reaching approximately 64.29%. Driven by the smooth operation of domestic aluminum smelters, domestic aluminum ingot production was approximately 1.19 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.21%.
