The market demand for nickel and stainless steel in China was not as good as expected in the first half of this year. Stainless steel prices fell in the first half of the year, but there is still pressure on nickel supply. As a result, the nickel and stainless steel market might rebound in the second half of the year.

The stainless steel industry is supported by medical needs, measures for the real estate industry, and appliance requirements. The supply and demand pressure of stainless steel is small, so there is support for the second-half stainless steel market.

The nickel and stainless steel markets were expected to strengthen in the second half of 2023, but there will still be pressure in the fourth quarter. The high point will probably be in September, and the low point may appear in July and December.
