China's non-alloy carbon steel seamless tubes has been AD by Brazil

The products involved are non-alloy carbon steel seamless tubes, in a circular section, with an external diameter not exceeding 374 mm, under 7304.31.10, 7304.31.90, 7304.39.10, 7304.39.20, and 7304.39.90 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).

On July 21, 2021, Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) announced that it has initiated the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation on seamless non-alloy carbon steel tubes originating in China, following the application filed by the Brazilian domestic company Vallourec Soluções Tubulares do Brasil S.A. on March 19.

The period of the investigation was from January 2020 to December 2020, and the injury investigation period was from January 2016 to December 2020.

The final determination must be completed within ten months from its start date, and this period may be extended for up to two months in exceptional cases.

The initial AD investigation was launched on September 14, 2015.
