China's rail cargo volume rises in 2020

According to statistics from China Railway, China's rail cargo volume reached 3.58 billion tons in 2020, increasing by 4.1% or 141 million tons compared to the previous year.

Among them, the volume by containers was 458 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 37%, and that by high-speed rail freight train was 44,000 tons, a year-on-year hiked of 40%.

In 2020, the daily loading volume of China Railway averaged 161,000 vehicles, hitting a record high.
