Winning International Group, the largest bauxite shipper in the world, has withdrawn from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), according to the IAI’s updated list released on January 4.

Singapore-based Winning International became the second company to leave the IAI in the past six months, just after China Hongqiao Group’s withdrawal in August 2020.

Before that, the IAI’s members accounted for more than 60% of the total global output of bauxite, alumina, and aluminum production.
