China’s stainless steel exports grow in May

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China’s stainless steel exports totaled around 487,000 tons in May, rising by 27.5% compared to the previous month and also hiking by nearly 33% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, China’s stainless steel exports to India, Vietnam, and Taiwan grew month on month by 40.9%, 4.8%, and 42.1%, totaling roughly 57,400 tons, 56,000 tons, and 33,000 tons, respectively.

In the first five months of this year, China’s stainless steel exports amounted to approximately 1.93 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.43%.
