China's stainless steel imports & exports increase in H1

According to Chinese customs data, China's total stainless steel imports in the first half of this year were nearly 1.11 million tons, an increase of 31.43% year-on-year. In June, stainless steel imports were about 131,000 tons, an increase of about 11% year-on-year but a decrease of nearly 25% month-on-month.

In the first half of this year, China's stainless steel exports were 2.36 million tons, an increase of nearly 16% year-on-year. In June, stainless steel exports were about 453,000 tons, an increase of nearly 32% year-on-year but a decrease of 1% month-on-month. In summary, China's net exports of stainless steel in the first half of the year were 1.26 million tons, an increase of 5% year-on-year.
