China’s unwrought aluminum and aluminum products exports hit new high in May

According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, China’s exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products amounted to 676,600 tons in May this year, hitting a new high for three months in a row, stimulated by the rising international aluminum prices.

In the first five months of this year, China exported approximately 2.9 million tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products, up by 34.2% year on year.

In 2021, the exports amounted to 5.62 million tons, a year-on-year growth of 15.7%.
