Nanjing Yunhai Special Metals Co., Ltd., a China-based alloy producer, said it planned to raise its annual production capacity of aluminum alloy air conditioner flat tubes by 5,000 tons to 20,000 tons before the end of this year, in order to meet the increasing demand from China’s automobile industry.

Aluminum tube is one of the main products of Yunhai Special Metals. In 2019, the revenue of this kind of product accounted for 5% of Yunhai Special Metals’ total revenue.

It was understood that Yunhai Special Metals’ aluminum alloy air conditioner flat tube has a 20% market share. The production increase in China’s automobile industry will be a support for aluminum tube needs. Besides, copper tubes might be replaced with aluminum tubes in the household appliances sector.
