Due to the continuous high-temperature weather, China’s Chongqing City is facing a huge electricity shortage. Therefore, the government decided to suspend all production at some industrial enterprises that are included in Chongqing City’s plan for orderly power consumption during the flood season, and only a protective load will be maintained.
The implementation period is from 0:00 on August 17 to 24:00 on August 24, 2022, subject to temperature changes and supply and demand situations afterward.
It was understood that an alumina enterprise in Chongqing has completely shut down its production, involving an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons.
