CISA: China's crude steel output to exceed 1 billion tons in 2020

According to data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), China’s production of iron and steel in the first ten months of this year had a year-on-year increase to that the annual output of crude steel could be estimated to exceed 1 billion tons this year, with an increase of approximately 5% compared to last year.

The overall profitability of China’s iron and steel industries decreased year on year this year. The industry's sales profit rate averaged only 4.1%, a year-on-year drop, lower than the average profit rate of national industrial enterprises announced by the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS).
