US’ crude steel production reduces

According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ended November 28, the production of US’ crude steel totaled around 1.56 million short tons, falling by 1.3% from the same period a week ago and also dropping by 14.4% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 70.6%, reducing by 0.9% week on week and also going down by 8.2% year on year.

As of the week ended November 28, the production of US’ crude steel amounted to around 72.19 million short tons this year, a year-on-year decrease of 18.4%. The capacity utilization rate was 67.2%, a year-on-year reduction of 12.8%.
