Colombia makes preliminary AD ruling on oil and gas pipelines from China

According to the preliminary anti-dumping (AD) ruling made by the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Trade on August 6, 2020, the seamless or welded pipelines used in oil and gas originating in China, under HS code 7304.19.00.00, will be subject to an additional 35.90% ad-valorem tax based on the FOB value in addition to the current 10% tariff, and products under tariff subheading 7306.19.00.00 will be imposed a 33.13% ad-valorem tax based on the FOB value, with zero tariffs currently.

The Colombian Ministry of Foreign Trade decided to initiate an AD investigation on these involved products from China on May 11, 2020.
