It was reported that approximately 400 workers at Constellium's aluminum plant in Muscle Shoals, Alabama held a strike due to unfair labor practices and disagreements on an issue of health care demands.

The plant mainly produces aluminum sheets used in the packaging industry, such as beverage containers.

With the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, the demand for aluminum can surges since more and more people choose to eat and drink at home. Therefore, the supply of global beverage cans has been insufficient since this year.
