Denmark's NLMK DanSteel supplies steel plate to French wind power projects

The Russian steel manufacturer NLMK Group indicated that
Denmark's NLMK DanSteel has provided thick plates for the manufacture of wind turbine tower components for the first major offshore wind farm in Brittany, France.

The capacity of the wind farm is 500 megawatts and can supply enough electrical energy to more than 800,000 people in Brittany.

NLMK DanSteel manufactures hot-rolled structural steel for construction, bridge construction, wind energy, offshore oil and gas, shipbuilding, boilers and pressure vessels, and transportation board. The annual capacity of the plant is 550,000 tons of steel plate.

NLMK DanSteel is planning to expand its product range in wind power generation based on the capacity at its Lipetsk plant.
