Damco Aluminum Delfzijl Coöperatie U.A. (Aldel), a Netherlands-based aluminum producer, signed an aluminum sales agreement with British commodity trading and mining company Glencore this Monday (May 18th).

Under the agreement, Aldel will supply Glencore with 180,000 tons of aluminum during 2020-2021, and the firm will take 10 years to turn itself into one of the aluminum producers with low costs and high energy efficiency in Europe.

Aldel’s current annual production was around 80,000 tons, and it planned to significantly raise its output within the next 12 months.
