Dutch aluminum producer ALDEL suspends production due to high electricity prices

Damco Aluminum Delfzijl Coöperatie U.A. (ALDEL), the only aluminum producer based in Delfzijl, the Netherlands, said that it has suspended its primary production due to the current rising electricity prices in Europe. The production will be halted from October 11 until at least early 2022.

ALDEL's annual production capacity of primary aluminum is 110,000 tons, and that of recycled aluminum is 50,000 tons.
