Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), a premium aluminum producer based in the UAE and the largest aluminum producer in the Middle East, recently announced that it has agreed to supply CelestiAL solar aluminum to Japan's Kobe Steel for the manufacture of automotive body sheets for Nissan.

EGA currently supplies Kobe Steel with thousands of tonnes of aluminum every year.

Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, CEO of EGA, said that EGA was the first company in the world to use solar energy to produce aluminum. The company planned to increase production of CelestiAL in the coming years, contributing to the decarbonization of EGA and end-user industries including automotive manufacturing.
